DRUG PIG: EXODUS Side Project To Record Debut Album
May 19, 2004DRUG PIG, the San Francisco Bay Area-based project featuring EXODUS guitarist Gary Holt and current EXODUS manager/former EXODUS guitar tech Steve Warner, have launched their official web site at DrugPig.net.
"Gary and I plan to start recording the DRUG PIG [debut] album after we get back from [EXODUS' tour of] Europe," Warner told BLABBERMOUTH.NET. "Recording will take place at Tsunami Studio [in Northern California] during our small vacation we plan to take. We have around 7 complete songs right now. We will probably write a couple more when we get into tracking mode. We are going to have John Miller [ex-WARDANCE] sing on a few tracks, and we are also going to be looking for a few other familiar guys to come guest on it as well. There should be a lot of good surprises. We're very much looking forward to it. It should be a lot of fun for us, and I think people will really be surprised by what we create. Our plan is to release it on our own via the web site."
With regards to how DRUG PIG might affect EXODUS' upcoming activities, Warner said, "Don't anyone worry this will not be taking anything away from the next EXODUS album. Gary has been in writing mode for a while now, and the plans are for them to start recording the new EXODUS album in November 2004. And trust me: They will not let you down. I promise!"
